2015 School Year End-of-semester Dormitory Check-out Reminder 


I. End of Semester Dormitory Vacating: 

A. Undergraduate students: 
a. The checking-out date is arranged at around June 30-July 1.Students should clear out of their residing dormitory rooms before 3 pm on July 1. 
b. Those applied for extended staying periods should move out before deadline according to the rules for extra stay. 

B. Graduate students: 
a. Students should clear out of their residing dormitory rooms before 3 pm on june 30, and also applicable for those who do not apply for summer vacation 
residence but still continuous to stay in the same room next semester. 
b. To cooperate with the renovation of Chuang-Ching Dorm 9 in summer vacation, 
residents who have applied for summer vacation accommodation are required to clean out your own stuff and pack all the things up before 3 pm on June 30. 

C. Reminder: 
a. For any reasons that the student does not move out of their room, clear up his/her own disposals, and complete the vacating procedure, the dormitory deposit would be fully deducted and penalization points will be implied. 
b. Students who will reside in the dormitory for students that have applied for late check-out process or the summer session may communicate with residents currently residing in the room assigned for both parties to move; then after registration at the dormitory service counter, the students that have applied for late check-out process or summer term residents may move into their assigned room . 
c. The last resident to vacate the room is responsible for clearing out all the remaining trash and items, notifying dormitory STAFF for inspection, and signing the inspection checklist. 

II. Dormitory Storage Room Service time: 
A. Service time: 
Jun. 25, 2015 ~ Jul. 1, 2015 
Sep. 1, 2015 & Sep. 12,2015 ~ Sep. 14, 2015 up to each residence hall announced 

B. Reminders: 
a. If students would like to retrieve items at times other than the times set above, one hundred dollar service fee would be charged. (Please come to student Housing Service section/Dormitory Service Center to take an application form, before pay at the Cashier Section; and also note that the Cashier Office is closed on the weekends and Fridays.) 
b. All items left at the storage areas beyond the expiration time (Sep. 14) would be disposed, and two penalization points would be granted per day according to Student Dormitory counseling and Management Regulation ; Should ten points be accumulated, the student would be asked to leave the dorm. 
c. Items to be stored at the storage area should be packed out tidily with proper protective material on the outside to avoid any scattering or damping. 
d. Storage service is available until the last day (Jul. 1) of the term, afterwards only allows to pick up your staffs. 

III. Garbage Collection: 
A. Placing periods of Dust boxes 
a. For Undergraduate(Chuang-Ching Dorm 1~9,Zi-Chiang 5~9) on June 24-July 1. 
b. For Graduate(Zi-Chiang 1~3 & 10) on June 24-30 & Aug 30-31. 

B. Placing locations of Dust boxes 
a. For Chuang-Ching Dormitory: 
1st~3rd Dorm: East side gate of Chuang-Ching 1st~3rd Dorm . 
2nd~3rd Dorm: Back iron gate of Chuang-Ching 2nd~3rd Dorm. 
5th~8th Dorm: Recycling field besides the back gate of Chuang-Ching 5th Dorm. 
9th Dorm: Main Gate of Chuang-Ching 9th Dorm. 
b. For Zi-Chiang Dormitory: 
1st~3rd Dorm: Public Square in front of counselor's office. 
5th~9th Dorm: Square between 6th and 7th Dorm; West side of the square of 9th Dorm. 
10th Dorm: Atrium of the first floor. 

C. Reminder: 
a. In order to prevent not enough capacity in each residence hall's dumpster, 
each residence hall will have their own recycling bins for items such as Jigsaw carpets, mattresses, etc. 
b. Please do not dump your personal belongings or disposals in public areas of 
dorms; violators will be punished according to the rules. 

IV. Regulations of traffic: 
A. Scheduled access period for private vehicles to enter campus to assist in relocating is from 8 am to 5 pm, June 30-July 01. 

B. Though June 27- June 29 are not scheduled checking-out date, however, 
to assist parents and students to move out efficiently, campus securities agree to open traffic access to the campus. 

C. Reminder to parents who are assisting their student moving out, you must park your vehicles inside the campus, do not park at Zhi-Nan Rd. in order to avoid towing and creating traffic jam. 

V. Other matters: 
A. Moving Service: 
We will offer "Moving Service" through 3 vans on June 30, 6 vans to assist residents on July 1. Detailed information will be further announced by each residence building. In order to cooperate with Chuang-Ching Dorm 9 relocating operation, On June 30 a small truck would be provided to help to deliver stuffs of those who need to stay in summer vacation from original rooms to Zi-Chiang Dorm 10. 

B. Cargo express on-site service 
Planned to provide service on June 22- July 01, while the exact serving dates are up to each residence hall.
