Information on Supplementary Fire Drill Training for New Dormitory Students in the 114th Academic Year
-
According to Article 24 of the "National Chengchi University Student Dormitory Guidance and Management Regulations," dormitory residents are required to participate in fire drills. Those who fail to participate without a valid reason will be subject to 8 to 10 demerit points.
-
For those who are unable to participate in the fire drill on the scheduled date (August 29, 2025) due to special circumstances, they must complete supplementary training at the Taipei City Disaster Prevention Science Education Center by October 29, 2025 (supplementary training form attached), and submit the form to the Housing Section for registration. Those who fail to complete the fire drill as scheduled without a valid reason, in addition to the demerit points stipulated in the preceding paragraph, must still complete the supplementary training by January 10, 2026, and submit the supplementary training form to the Housing Section; failure to complete the supplementary training will result in accumulated demerit points, and accumulating ten points will lead to eviction in accordance with regulations.
-
If you are a waitlisted dormitory resident, please complete the supplementary training by January 10, 2026, and submit the supplementary training form to the Housing Section for registration.
-
Disaster prevention drills are crucial for students' lives and property safety, and practices vary among schools. Investigations show that some schools in the northern region also require all dormitory residents to participate every academic year. However, considering reducing students' burden, our university only requires first-time residents of each academic system to participate in fire drills. Furthermore, on-site supplementary training also needs to consider factors such as fire personnel support time and venue availability. Currently, personnel at the Disaster Prevention Science Education Center have ample experience in information provision and practical drills. Therefore, after comprehensive consideration, our university adopts the same supplementary training approach as National Taiwan Normal University, National Taipei University, Shih Hsin University, and other schools.
