Overview of the 2020 NCTU Talent Recruitment Month Series Activities

[Features of the National Chengchi University Talent Recruitment Month 2020]

• Enterprise industry diversification

In order to meet the needs of students from the ten colleges of NCTU, this year’s recruitment month is dedicated to industrial diversity and invites many companies from different fields to participate in the event. On average, up to 35% of the companies are different from last year, such as: Biffy Foods Company, Capital Kitchen Management Consulting Company, Evergreen Marine and other well-known enterprises; in addition, in order to meet the needs of foreign students from NCTU, many companies have also opened job vacancies for foreign students, so that foreign students can also participate in the series of recruitment month activities.

• The company provides full-time and internship vacancies

The registered companies for the recruitment month will provide full-time and internship vacancies on the "Career Development and Internship Platform" of the NCTU Career Center to meet the different needs of freshmen to seniors. In addition, the recruitment fair will also be held through the four-dimensional platform on the day of the recruitment expo. A large screen set up in front of the hall displays a rotating list of all corporate job vacancies. We hope that students can find their ideal jobs through the National Chengchi University Talent Recruitment Month.

• Expand the scale of online corporate visits

Corporate visits are the most direct way for students to get in touch with companies. In previous years, physical corporate visits were limited by time and number of people. Therefore, online corporate visits were launched last year in the hope of breaking through the restrictions, and have received a great response. Therefore, this year we have specially expanded the scale of online company visits. In addition to increasing the number of participating companies, we will also launch a photo and text interview column. The goal is to allow students to get to know their ideal companies without any hindrance!

• Launch of expo interactive levels

This year, in order to promote students to participate in the expo, the recruitment month team launched interactive levels for the first time, changing the monotonous point collection method in previous years. A total of five levels have been designed this time, so that students can not only better understand the company's recruitment information, but also make the participation process more interesting through games, and even increase the chance of winning the biggest prize of the expo!

• 36 corporate recruitment briefings

There were a total of 36 corporate briefings this year, with participating companies covering finance, technology, manufacturing and other fields, with diverse industries, including China Trust, AWS, Johnson & Johnson and other companies participating in the event! Many companies provide full-time and internship opportunities, and many overseas companies are looking for talents, and they also offer many gifts. We hope that through one hour of time, we can communicate and interact with NCCU students and attract outstanding talents to join us.

• 3 character lectures + 3 round table lectures

3 character lectures, the new generation host - Huang Haoping, the co-founder of "Taiwan Bar" - Xiao Yuchen, and the world adventurer - Xie Xinxuan came to NCTU. • 5 physical company visits + 5 online visitsCorporate visits

This year’s corporate visits include “China Trust”, “Ogilvy PR”, “Elite PR”, “beBit Digital Strategy Consulting Company”, and “Sprout Internet Startup Company”; online visits include “CloudMile” —Asia Artificial Intelligence Service and Cloud Supplier", "CakeResume Internet Startup Company", "PAMO Legal Consulting Company", "Short Form Information Design Company", and "Teach for Taiwan".

• Resume/Interview Series Activities

This year’s resume writing lecture invited Mr. Wei Sheng, the chief operating officer of CakeResume, and the interview skills lecture invited Ms. Mika, the founder of Job Search Strategy. After listening to the lecture, there was also a one-on-one resume health checkup activity with Yi Ke at 104 Job Bank that week. The actual simulated interview of HR is waiting for you to participate. It will be released every year and will be sold out immediately. If you miss it, you will have to wait until next year.

• Corporate Talent Expo

The highlight of the Talent Recruitment Month series of events: the "Talent Recruitment Expo" will be held on March 3. This year, there are 27 booths, spanning diverse industries such as finance, media, food, education, accounting, information, retail and other fields. Among them, 107 companies are open to foreign students to apply for jobs. It is hoped that through face-to-face communication opportunities between companies and students, students can learn about companies and companies can get to know students, thereby helping NCCU students to create a bright career.

• Enterprise industry diversification

In order to meet the needs of students from the Nine Colleges of National Chengchi University, this year’s Talent Recruitment Month pays more attention to industrial diversity and invites many companies from different fields to participate in the event, such as Hon Hai Precision Industry, Lingqun Computer, Juyang Industrial and other information and manufacturing fields. Well-known companies; in addition, nearly 30% of participating companies have raised their talent needs for foreign students, allowing a large number of foreign students from NCTU to participate in the Talent Recruitment Month series of activities.

• The company provides full-time and internship vacancies

This year, the recruitment month specially invites companies to provide full-time and internship vacancies on the "Career Development and Internship Platform" of NCTU Career Center to meet the different needs of freshmen to seniors. • First career exploration activity held 

In addition to serving as a matchmaking channel between NCCU students and companies, NCCU Talent Recruitment Month also hopes to help students find their lifelong ambitions through career exploration-related activities. Therefore, during this year’s Talent Recruitment Month, we have jointly created a series of “Life Design Workshops” with the DYL+ team (see event introduction for details), hoping to help NCCU students explore the infinite possibilities of the future.

There were a total of 37 corporate briefings this year, with participating companies spanning technology, finance, e-commerce, food, manufacturing and other fields, including Yushan Financial Holdings, L'Oréal, Uni-President Group, ASUS, Shopee, Amazon, Mercedes-Benz and other well-known companies. Participating in this grand event, we hope that through one hour, we can communicate and interact with NCTU students and attract outstanding talents to join us.

• Life Design Workshop

This year, National Chengchi University’s Talent Recruitment Month has specially cooperated with the Designing Your Life Plus (DYL+) team to bring the popular “Stanford University Career Planning Course” and “Design Thinking” concepts to the National Chengchi University campus. Two sessions were held for freshmen and undergraduates respectively. The "Life Design Workshop" for sophomores and juniors and above will use the book "Designing Your Life" as a model to lead NCTU students to explore infinite possibilities and re-plan their future blueprints!

• Resume/Interview Series Activities

This year’s NCTU Talent Recruitment Month has a total of 4 resume/interview series activities. Among them, the resume health check and mock interview activities are specially cooperated with the career consulting platform "YoungTalent" to bring the most valuable practical experience to NCTU students. In addition, NCTU Talent Recruitment Month also invited well-known speakers Hou Zhixun and Blink founder Yang Hanqian to provide guidance to students through a series of relevant lectures, greatly improving the combat effectiveness of NCTU students!

• Corporate visits

This year's corporate visits, in addition to the old physical visit activities, also added a new online visit video. Among them, physical visits include "Taishin Bank", "Tesco Shopee" and the most popular blockchain startup "Corbin Han", providing students with the opportunity to visit the corporate working environment on the spot; online visits are Through the short films carefully produced by the Talent Recruitment Month team, the faces of well-known new companies such as "Pinkoi" and "Women's Fan" were fully presented to NCTU students.

• Alumni sharing session

The Alumni Sharing Session is one of the new activities in this year’s Talent Recruitment Month. The main content is to invite NCCU graduates to share their experiences with current students. The themes of this year's three sharing sessions are "Across the night of the world, shining brilliantly", "The new star that illuminates the society, shining brightly" and "Breaking beyond the framework of the field, igniting the hot fireworks". We hope that through the precious experience of the seniors, Experience enables current students to have a smoother career development and life journey.

• Theme lectures

This year, there is one more theme lecture than last year, inviting "Aunt", a young YouTube creator with 25 fans and self-student, well-known travel blogger Lin Meizhen, Jingwei Think Tank advisory team manager Xu Cifang, and freelance editor Speaker Huang Mingzhang shared his experience and life philosophy with NCTU students, and took advantage of the speakers' rich life experience to lead the students to a higher level.
