Huanan New Village is located in the sprawling university town surrounding National Chengchi University. Over the past fifty years, it has produced many well-known professors and scholars of National Chengchi University and has become an indelible part of the collective memory of National Chengchi University’s teachers and students. Because of this, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Taipei City Government registered it as a settlement building complex in May 109 and obtained the status of a cultural asset. The school also implemented a restoration and reuse plan for the settlement building complex in accordance with relevant regulations.

The literati's residence in Huanan New Village, with its red-brick red doors and sloping drainage bricks under the window sills, has a unique style in an era when materials were scarce. The Z-shaped masonry method was used to enhance the earthquake resistance of the brick walls. In the past, different residents made additions and modifications to the building, and added details to the doors, windows, and exterior walls, each with their own unique interests. Ancient people planted various flowers and trees by hand and also preserved them.

When moving in, the school will provide:

1. Keys: Each person will receive keys to the courtyard door, front door, back door and room door. Please keep them properly and return them when you check out. If they are lost or damaged, a security deposit of RMB 250 will be held for each key.

2. Furniture: desks, chairs, bed sets, cabinets.

3. Electrical appliances: double-door refrigerator, washing machine, bedroom air conditioner.

4. Internet: Each dormitory provides 300M/300M Internet service.

5. Fire extinguishers: 2 dry powder portable fire extinguishers for each household, placed in the corridors on the first and second floors. The school's environmental safety team will regularly inspect and replace fire extinguishers.
