Out/Marriage is the first Taiwanese documentary filmed from the perspective of the new immigrants, mainly women from other Southeast Asian countries married to Taiwanese men. If you wish to delve into their innermost thoughts, let their life stories unfold before your eyes, beginning with the moments at which their marriages begin to dissolve.

 

NGUYỄN Kim Hồng││Director
NGUYỄN Kim Hồng was born into a farming family in Vietnam. In 2000, she got married through an agency and moved to Taiwan. In 2008, she divorced her husband after having endured years of domestic violence and raised her daughter by herself. In 2009, she remarried and began volunteering in the Taiwan Immigrant Association. In 2011, sponsored by the National Culture and Arts Foundation, she began to film her first documentary, Out/Marriage.
